Well Patti is taking this week off as she has to work on some other projects. But I will be here and what a great show I have for you this weekend. You’re getting the both the “Go Take a Hike” program and “The Poacher Chronicles” in one show.
Go Take a Hike’s Ryan Cleckner will be with me in the first hour to expand your outdoor skills in this class about getting you ready for your first or maybe your next outdoor adventure.
This segment, Ryan will be talking about cooking and preparing food in the outdoors. He will cover recipees, cooking considerations, and helpful tips on trip planning. If you want some of the recipees, check out the following links at GoTakeAHike.com Remember, this is Ryan’s personal site and you can register for free! It is a friendly community that wants your input and wants to help you on all matters of the outdoors.
Then it’s time for “The Poacher Chronicles”, this one hour program, if you have not heard it yet, was set up by me about nine years ago with the assistance of good buddy Rob Young from the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
It grew from a thirteen minute interview with just Arizona in the beginning to a one hour show which now includes thirty-four state wildlife law enforcement agencies, eight Canadian Provinces and Tanzania, Africa.
During the Poacher Chronicles we list the poachers by name, their offense, and any fines, revocations, or forfeitures they may obtain for their unlawful taking of wildlife. You can be sure, “you don’t want your 13 minutes of fame on this show”, as Rob Young always says when he joins me for a chronicles show.
My first guest on the Poacher Chronicles is Officer Tim Duffy from the The Department of Environmental Conservation in New York. This is Tim’s first appearance on the chronicles and he has a couple of great stories for you.
Next up is Carol Havlik from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Hunting season is over for most of the lawful hunters. But there are always a few that believe hunting season is year round for them. Carol will bring some of those cases to light for our listeners.
Then to wrap up the final hour of the chronicles,Game Warden, David Loewen from the Montana department of Fish Wildlife and Parks will be joining me with some great cases. Did you know David has received more TIPMONT calls then any other game warden in Montana? Learn that and more with The Poacher Chronicles heard only on Xplor the Outdoors Outdoor Radio Show. LIVE every Sunday Morning from 7-9 MST. In Phoenix on AM1060 The Fan and as “the shot heard round the world”, streamed LIVE and archived on xplortheoutdoors.com and archived on myoutdoortv.com.
I invite to check out the cases posted on poacherchronicles.com. You can visit the store there and purchase outer wear of which a portion of the sales helps to purchase body armor for game wardens through the International Association of Natural Resources Crime Stoppers (ianrc.org)
I hope you have enjoyed this show as much as we enjoy brining it to you. Coming soon,,,, A one hour kids outdoor program. Be on the lookout for it.
Have a great week, be safe, God Bless and and take the time to get someone out and Xplor the Outdoors.
