Today Patti and I would like to announce that we got married in Vegas the day before the Shot Show, So we are coming to you as “Xplor the Outdoors with Jim and Patti Solomon”.
We will be renewing our official vows in San Francisco on the 18th of April with an immediate honeymoon for two weeks in our home away from home, Puerto Vallarta.
This is the Special Three Hour Shot Show Edition of “Xplor the Outdoors with Jim and Patti” LIVE from the Foxy Huntress booth and we can’t thank the folks at the NSSF enough for making it the best Shot Show yet.
Our first guests are also good friends from the Friedkin Conservation Fund, Keith Roberts and Mike Beckner. They are members of the Anti-Poaching team out of Tanzania, Africa and you will see more of this story and others on the Poacher Chronicles website as we have decided to add the stories of Africa to this site.
Our second guest as are all the others following him, members of the Poacher Chronicles, Anti-Poaching Team.
Joe Stacy, the President of the Foxy Huntress is with us thismorning to talk about the new ladies outdoor line of clothingfor 2008. We are proud to welcome Shelah Zmigroski and the gang from thr Foxy Huntress to the Anti-Poaching Team and praise their committment to a very worthy cause. rememberpoaching is the theft of wildlife from everyone, not just hunters. We wish to tank Shelah and Joe for allowing us to broadcast our show LIVE from the Foxy Huntress booth and making everything available to us to make this show a huge success.
To finish out the first hour, Michael Tieg, the President of Tiger Light, will be on hand to talk about the most versatile and indestructable flashlight on the market today. This is not only a flashlight but a non-lethal method of protection, with the pepper spray trigger at the opposite end of the light.
In the second hour, Paul Hardin, the Marketing Director for ACR Electronics, will be joining us, talking about the most effective and life saving PLB or Personal Locating Beacon on the market today. You may have heard about the stories of lives being saved from Alaska to Arizona because of this device. It’s a must have for anyone that travels into the outdoors whether for a day or a week. This is the last resort, when all else fails, the ACR will make the difference of whether you come back from your excursion or not.
In the second segment, Lee hinkleman from Otis Gun will be with us to talk about the ultimate in gun cleaning kits for everything from small bore rifle to the shot gun in one little unit.
To finish out the hour, Patti and I will be talking further to our friends from Tanzania and about theupcoming guests on the third hour.
Ben Carter, the Executive Director of the Dallas Safari Club will be kicking off the third and final hour of the show with some great information about the club and how much this one organization has done to help the Friedkin Conservation Fund as well as many other organizations to help preserve wildlife for future generations.
Then another long time supporters of conservation, hunting and wildlife in this country, Keith Belford from The Boone and Crockett Club will join us to talk about the awesome history of this club. Did you know that there is more to the B&C Club then just official scoring. They were instrumental in many conservation movements long before many of us were born.
To wrap up the last hour of the Shot Show Special Edition of “Xplor the Outdoors wioth Jim and Patti” is Toni Aeischelman from the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The NSSF are the creators of the Shot Show as well as the different programs as the First Shots, Step Outside, Families Afield and the Scholastics Shooting Sports programs. They have done so much to support, enhance and expand the shooting and hunting sports in this country.
We hope you enjoyed this show as much as Patti and I did bringing it to you. If you are not already supporting these fine organizations, you should be because it is their hard work that is helping to preserve our hunting and shooting heritage.
