The Go Take a Hike series sponsored in part by Leatherman Tools and Danner Boots is a monthly (13) minute segment, that, beginning in September, will expand to a (1) hour program that details being prepared for the world of the outdoors. Heard LIVE, on one of the top outdoor radio shows in the country, Xplor the Outdoors hosted by Jim Solomon and Patti Carlise.

The Go Take a Hike series is co-hosted by ex-army ranger and sniper, Ryan Cleckner (gotakeahike.com)
Ryan is an expert in all aspects of the outdoor world.

We live in a time where a single parent family is the norm (about 60+%) or both parents have to work to make ends meet. Unfortunately the computer, video games and the television have become the babysitter and families have forgotten how to use the outdoor skills they were taught by the generation before. The result is a childhood obesity rate of 50% by the year 2010.
