New Frontier Series Combines New Technologies with Traditional Danner Construction
PORTLAND, Ore. – Danner is recognized throughout the world for its classic stitchdown construction. The original Frontier Series has developed a following over the years because it features this favorite construction method with rugged, durable leather. The new Frontier Series for fall 2007 incorporates lighter weight technology and new styling, built strong for any outdoor enthusiast, hunter or expert tackling tough terrain.
With an updated look for 2007, the Frontier maintains the exceptional quality and performance expected and loved from Danner. The new Frontier Series utilizes new technologies paired with tried-and-true Danner materials. Built on Danner’s Backcountry outsole, known for its dual density design, the series provides a balance of traction and support with unparalleled comfort.
Danner utilizes the best quality materials for performance in the field, including a waterproof GORE-TEX® liner to keep feet dry while the durable full-grain leather, or leather and nylon combination uppers, keep boots going for the many miles ahead. With the two style options, all leather or a combination of fabric and leather, the wearer can choose which elements are most important for their specific application, from ultra durability to increased breathability. An all leather style will traditionally be more durable, and utilizing fabric materials will allow for increased breathability in the field.
Most importantly, Danner’s Recrafting Department is standing by if the Frontiers should ever wear down many years and miles down the road. The Danner team can rebuild the series like new so that it still maintains the same fit that the wearer has grown to love and know.
§There are three full-grain all leather Frontier options available to the consumer: the Frontier GTX Sport 6-inch brown uninsulated option, Frontier GTX 8-inch with 1000 G. Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for late season and extreme cold conditions, and the Frontier Extreme GTX 10-inch with 600 G. Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for mid to late season warmth.
§The two styles of full grain leather and nylon that are available offer lightweight and breathable protection, available in an 8-inch uninsulated Frontier GTX style and 8-inch Frontier GTX boot with 400 G. Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation.
The Frontier Series is available in men’s sizes 7-14D, 8-13EE (half sizes to 12) with a suggested retail starting from $159.
